What do you like most about working with the team: We have a lot of fun and make unforgettable memories while learning how to be better people.
Most exciting project: All of them.
Favorite FIRST memory: Everything from doing the Mormon Dance to seeing the Black Eyed Peas in concert.

Name: Zac Finley
Position: CFO
Age/grade:16. Sophomore.
What inspired you to join FIRST: The team representatives at Freshman registration got my attention. I went to the BBQ and the team hooked me.
Favorite drink/food/band: Root Beer, Greek Gyros, Skillet
Favorite class, subject?:French. English.
What do you like best about working with the team: I like how all ideas are welcomed and it feels like a family.
Most exciting project: Helping out the local FLL teams.
Favorite FIRST memory: Going to St. Louis on the charter bus. Everyone acted like a family and we went really far in the competition.

What inspired you to join FIRST: A friend who wouldn’t let me say no.

What do you like best about working with the team: We’re all one big family!
Most exciting project: The 2011 prompt.
Favorite FIRST memory: Nationals last year – especially the Black Eyed Peas concert!

What do you like best about working with the team: MURPHBOMB.

Name: Leah Jaron

What inspired you to join FIRST: My brother, Peter, sort of just told me I was joining-I was forced into it.
Favorite drink/food/band: sprite+half and half+strawberry+vanilla=amazing; chocolate, pasta, mom’s enchiladas; incubus
Favorite class, subject: Calc, Chemistry.
What do you like best about working with the team: I love how the team is composed of so many different personalities and that when we come together we’re able to get along and have fun.
Most exciting project: The Bill of Materials of course! AND SCOUTING.
Favorite FIRST memory: The 2009 and 2011 Nationals.  But too many to explain…!

What inspired you to join FIRST: I missed the bus once and had to sit in Mr. McLean’s room. What I saw was so cool that I had to join.

What do you like best about working with the team: You always have someone to hang out with and somewhere to belong.
Most exciting project: Making a rocket in Aerospace
Favorite FIRST memory: The blizzard at Denver Regionals three years ago.

Name: Andre Young
VP Position: Manipulator

What inspired you to join FIRST: At first (ha), a general interest in robotics- I though I’d make a career out of engineering- and when I walked into a meeting for the first time, I had a blast with the my peers, and plus, who doesn’t want to build a colossal, awesome, BA robot?
Favorite drink/food/band: Old Fashioned Cream Soda/Steak/Celldweller
Favorite class, subject: AP Biology, The Medical Sciences
What do you like best about working with the team: I guess it would be working with all of my peers and fabricating a machine that we can be extremely proud of.

What inspired you to join FIRST: I guess my love for building things and engineering. (yes those are two separate things)
Favorite drink/food/band: Tea, Korean food, One Republic.
Favorite class, subject: AP Studio Art. Math.
What do you like best about working with the team: I like the fact that all these different people with all these different ideas can come together and work towards the same goal.
Most exciting project: Getting Elf, Lebron, Ralph, and Rueben!(the 8″ mecanum wheels) and putting on the nanotubes!
Favorite FIRST memory: WINNING CHAIRMANS! (of course after getting elbowed in the nose by someone)

Name: Joshua Munson
VP Position: Programming
Age/Grade:16. Junior.
What inspired you to join FIRST: I’ve been hooked on technology since I was a little kid and when I saw that robot driving around I was entranced.
Favorite drink, food, band: Tea, Rubens, Cherry Popin’Dadies.
Favorite class, subject: I think it’s a tie between engineering and lunch.
What do you like best about working with the team: The SPIRIT! That and how many people can come together and create something as great as a robot.
Most exciting project: Mentoring the Sabin Middle School FLL team and watching them go to state.
Favorite FIRST memory: Watching our minibot go up and get 1st for the FIRST time.

What inspired you to join FIRST: I heard about it over the announcements and it grabbed my attention so I went to a meeting and really enjoyed it.
Favorite drink/food/band: Pizza. Mountain Dew. Country Music.
Favorite class, subject: Engineering. DE.

Favorite FIRST memory: Winning the Chairman’s Award and going to Championships twice. Also, the concert at Championships.

Name: Mandy Malone

What inspired you to join FIRST: My engineering classes and my nerd friends.

Favorite class, subject: Underwater Basket Weaving, Aerospace Engineering.
What do you like best about working with the team: The people.
Most exciting project: Last year’s robot, I really enjoyed watching it come together.
Favorite FIRST memory: Competitions, all of them, combined in a mess of face paint and terrible dancing skills.

What inspired you to join FIRST: Mandy just started bringing me to meetings.
Favorite drink/food/band: anything Mexican, orange soda, Aerosmith
Favorite class, subject: Government. History and English.
What do you like most about working with the team: Everyone’s just really amazing-2996 is a group of great people. It’s kind of like a family.
Most exciting project: Building the minibot.
Favorite FIRST memory: Well, all of the regional’s were fantastic but I have to say winning the Chairman’s Award at Denver was my favorite.
