Community Events
Although building our competition robot may seem to be the only thing on the minds of the students on Team 2996, we strive to get others interested in the science, technology, and engineering. We always want to give back to the community that supports us all year, too! One of the major reasons we go out to our community is that we want to give people, especially children, who may not otherwise be exposed to the wonders of science and engineering an opportunity to learn about the ways technology is changing the world. These children will hopefully be inspired to become the next generation of engineers, scientists, and problem solvers. We were all exposed to science and technology as interesting and attainable pursuits; we want to give others the same chance. A goal of the team is to reach out and inspire people to become problem solve
rs and world changers. Our community supports us more than we can say; going out is the least we could ever do to repay all they have done for our team.
